Atoosa Benji, LM, CPM , DONA(BDT). CLE, is a Licensed Midwife through the Medical Board of California and a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives. She practices in Los Angeles and surrounding areas, providing education and midwifery care during the perinatal and postpartum period.
Philosophy
I believe in personalized, respectful care where the client's needs and beliefs are honored. This includes understanding the whole person. This includes respecting the family you are in, the one you are forming and the way you wish to be referred to. On my website verbiage and the literature I proved, I interchange the words mother, birthing persons, and client, breastfeeding and chest-feeding,,. I also use the word partner as not all people are married. I will ask you your preferred name and your pronoun(s) when we meet. I am always looking to learn and improve my practice as a human on the planet and a birth keeper. This I promise.
